On screen processor & memory usage meters are cool, but do you know what's even cooler? The real thing! In 2013 I built my first "PC Meter" which displays CPU load & memory usage on two analog meters using an Arduino microcontroller to drive them. The numbers are fed to the device from a Windows application I developed in C#.Net. Here's a video of it in action:
